Candle Care
A better burn starts with simple care
Good candle care helps your candle burn more evenly, last longer, and stay safer in your home. These small steps make a real difference, especially with clean-burning soy wax.
Before each burn
- Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting.
- Place the candle on a stable, heat-safe surface.
- Keep the candle away from drafts, curtains, pets, and children.
The first burn
Let the wax melt close to the edges of the vessel during the first burn. This helps reduce tunneling and sets the candle up for a more even burn over time.
While burning
- Do not burn longer than 3–4 hours at a time.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Stop use when roughly 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom.
After burning
Let the wax cool fully before moving the candle or replacing the lid. If soot appears, trim the wick before the next burn and keep the flame away from drafts.
